If you know about community management, the maker culture, and can talk english, we’re looking forward to meeting you.
This is a 6-month-long opportunity in Paris 10th district.
Makery, a one-year-old online media dedicated to labs and the maker culture, is growing. The contents are growing, the audience is growing, and the amount of work follows the same trend. Actually, this trend keeps going on since we want to develop further out of France.

Hence our need to welcome an english-speaking community manager/editor among the editorial team. In fact, you can even be better at speaking english than french.
If you’re handy, smart, used to social media, and passionate about the maker movement, if you’re not afraid of writing, if you know how to embed a Youtube video in a post, if you know more about Twitter than the difference between a hashtag and a mention, please get in touch with us.
We’re not only looking for experienced community managers. If you were born a maker but have not a huge experience as a community manager, do not hesitate to apply. We know that an intern doesn’t know everything, and we know that an internship is meant to teach you something.
To learn as much as possible, you’ll be part of the editorial team, working with Makery journalists, community manager, developer and chief editor in our office in Paris (see our location on a map). Makery is a media for labs, and a lab for media, experimenting new kinds of journalism, new ways of publishing.
Your duties :
With Makery community manager, you’ll be in charge of managing the english social networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram…) and growing the audience.
With Makery editorial team you’ll look for fresh news, write articles, and take care of Makery map of labs.
With the whole Makery team: lunches on the roof, drinks after 7pm…
This is a long-term full-time internship (6 months sound good), starting as soon as possible, paid 508,20€ a month (legal wage for an intern in France).
To apply, please send a cover letter and a resume to quentin@makery.info
